Thermoworks comes through with another super product at an extremely affordable price. For the price, the speed it reads the meat’s internal temperature, and the precision there is nothing that compares. Tests from multiple people have shown this thermometer to be within 0.2 F accurate.
Unlike other pocket thermometers in it’s price range, the Thermoworks RT600C has a small point (0.06 “) to poke your meat so after removing you are not losing all the great juices inside the grilled meat. Most other products have probes approximately 1/2” thick and they can make a mess of your meat after pulling out the probe when checking the temperature.
The RTC600C is not meant to be left in when grilling and can accurately measure internal temps and has a range of -40 to 302°F (-40 to 150°C) for readings. Be aware, it can only withstand environmental temperatures of up to 190F so you don’t want to leave it sitting in your meats while grilling or leave it on top of the grill after closing the door. It is intended to place in the meat for a few seconds to give an accurate internal temperature.
