From customer reviews the Myron Mixon Pitmaster Q3 Pellet Grill fails to stand up to it’s competitors. The first thing that stood out to us about this product was is was not made by a Pellet Grill manufacturer, it is built by a company called Mojack. Mojack is known for it lawnmower lifts and hand jacks, not for grilling. Being that they have not been in the pellet grill realm for years like Traeger and other companies, their product has a lot of flaws and is missing some key features we feel are necessary to make a pellet grill worth purchasing. Overall this product is built rather flimsy and the cost of the product seems to be marketing the pellet grill with Myron Mixon’s name attached.
Myron Mixon Q3 Pitmaster Features:
Easy Access Ash Dump Tray
The Myron Mixon Q3 Pitmaster gloats about it’s easy to clean ash tray. Although pellet grills only need occassional cleaning of the excess ashes it is nice to have any easy way to accomplish this task. The Q3 Pitmaster system is not as easy as they claim. In order to clean the ashes you must remove the cooking grate, drip pan, and firebox then sweep the ashes with a brush to the pull out tray.
Digital Controller Head
The Myron Mixon Pitmaster Q3 digital controller head does not have alot of options and is pretty basic in nature and is one of the reasons we rated the Pitmaster Q3 so low. It has a turn dial knob for temperature control that is difficult to find the exact temperature you are heating the pellet grill too until the internal heat stabilizes. We also do not like there is no shut-down mode which on other brands removes all the pellets out of the auger system while cooling down. Customers have complained that the Myron Mixon Pitmaster Q3 has trouble keeping a constant temperature which is a serious problem when conducting a long term smoke. Temperature range is 180⁰ to 400⁰.
Large Grilling Space
One of the features we did enjoy on the Pitmaster Q3 is the large space available for grilling and smoking. It has adequate space, a total of 610 Square Inches including the lower rack and upper warming rack.
Signature Water Pan
A signature feature of the all PitmasterQ3 wood pellet grills. It’s very easy to use, just install a loaf pan in the grease drain pan then add your favorite juice. The water pan is a standard aluminum loaf pan found in your local grocery stores.
